These terms apply to your use of this website and to any purchase or membership made through it. By placing an order or subscribing, you agree to them.

1. Products and pricing

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars. [CONFIRM: add "and include GST" if registered for GST]

Natural, lab-grown and moissanite stones are described as such on each listing. Photographs are indicative. Because each stone is unique, slight variation in colour, inclusion and finish is normal and is not a fault.

We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed when the order is placed. If an item is listed at an incorrect price or with an incorrect description, we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.

2. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We may decline an order, for example where an item is no longer available, a stone has already been sold, or we are unable to verify payment details.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by Squarespace Payments. We accept the cards and digital wallets shown at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card details. See our Payment Security and PCI Compliance page for more.

Full payment is required before dispatch unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Custom and made-to-order pieces

Bespoke commissions, resizing and engraved items are made to your specification.

A deposit of [CONFIRM: percentage] is payable before work begins and is non-refundable once production has started.

Because these items are made to order, they cannot be returned for change of mind. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Production timeframes given to you are estimates, not guarantees.

5. Delivery

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your order on arrival and tell us within [CONFIRM: number] days if anything has arrived damaged.

6. Returns and change of mind

Returned items must be unworn, in original condition, and accompanied by all packaging, documentation and certification.

For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned. Custom, engraved and resized pieces are excluded as set out above.

7. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights.

8. Membership

Membership gives you access to The Vault and to the benefits described on the membership page at the time you subscribe.

Membership fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. The amount and the billing frequency are shown to you before you confirm.

You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded for the remainder of that period unless required by law.

We may change the benefits included in a membership. If we materially reduce what is included, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

We may change membership pricing for new subscribers. If you are already a member, you keep the rate you signed up at unless you agree to a new one.

Access to member content ends when your membership ends.

9. Warranty and care

Fine jewellery requires care. Damage caused by wear, impact, chemicals or improper storage is not a manufacturing fault and is not covered.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including images, designs, text, and the Fine Diamonds Studio name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not reproduce it without our written permission.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This clause does not limit any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Privacy

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order or subscribe is the version that applies to you.
